In Celebration of

Vincenzo "Jimmy" Forcione

August 18, 1928 -  August 21, 2018

It is with deep sadness that Jimmy’s family announces his passing on August 21, 2018. Predeceased by his wife Giustina "Nella", he leaves behind family in Italy, Greece, Montreal and Hamilton. He is greatly missed by his brother Mario in Italy and his children Carmen Lucci (Carlo), Cindy Speziale (Aldo), Sonia Forcione and Sylvie Patrick (Kevin). Jim was the proud Nonno to seven grandchildren and bisnonno to four great grandchildren. Everyone who knew Jimmy knew him to be witty, always well dressed (with perfectly combed hair!) and very committed to his family. He often sat quietly listening and when he spoke, it was with fervour. Jim was president and a long time member of the MacNab Bocce Association. He made friends wherever he went. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Friday, August 24th from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Anne's Parish, 11 Wilson St W., on Saturday August 25th at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 254 Garner Road West. Dear Cindy - My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Your dad will be deeply missed at Villa Italia. I will always remember his smile and good nature when I went to visit my dad there. Mealtime won't be the same without Jimmy at the table. Sending our love and condolences.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Jimmy. While I didn't know him personally, as a friend of his daughter Carmen and husband Carlo, and his granddaughter Michelle (and her children), I am sure he was a wonderful soul who will be greatly missed on this earth. May he rest in peace.
