Obituary
With heavy hearts our family announces the passing of our one-of-a-kind husband, father and grandfather on July 16th, 2015. Survived by his wife Janice and children Jeffery (Juana), Roger (Marie), Karin (Jaret), Leslie and Nikki. Grandfather to Chelsie (Rob), Moira, Alexander, Abby, Calum and Jemima. Those who benefitted from Warren's many talents and generosity will remember fondly everything he did for them. We would like to thank Drs. Hann, Sur, Dath, Goldberg and Schnarr for their compassion and valiant efforts.

It was Warren's wish not to be remembered in a funeral setting, so a celebration of his life will be held at the Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club on Saturday August 1st from 1-4pm.

Thank you Warren for all your help with my Datsun 1200. You were a great car rally-ist in the day.

Rest in peace

I am from the "Post" side of the family. Warren's mother (Mima) and my grandmother (Marian Kendal Post) were sisters. My dad, Bill Post, and Warren were cousins.
I remember when we were little, our family (Bill, Ann, Scott, Jackie and myself) would get together at Frank and Mima's house at Christmas time --- and have a great time playing with our (2nd?) cousins Jeff, Roger (Dodger) and Leslie.
We did that for a few Christmas', then somehow we all got separated.
I ran into Leslie a few years ago and reconnected.
My brother Scott also ran into Jeff a while ago -- another piece in the puzzle.

I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Warren. I remember him as a welcoming, happy person with a great smile and a wonderful sense of humour. I hope your memories (and this wonderful tribute page) will help to ease your loss.
God bless,
Jennifer Henderson

He was not a very old man, for sure, but I remember him so well as a young man. We spent a lot of time with the family, and I have a special spot still in my heart for Uncle Frank. New Year's Eve was always spent at Mima and Frank's, and I remember Uncle Jack always sitting at the kitchen table behind the back door - and Grandma and Mima brewing endless cups of tea from a single bag that rested in a saucer at the back of the sink until the kettle had boiled for another round. Warren was handsome, and funny, and accomplished, and smart. Kind, and gentle, and often with a knowing twinkle in his eye, he would get down on the floor and play with us - I think I may have had a crush on him as an adolescent, and thought Janice was about as lucky as could be. I always ended up being the designated babysitter for the kids. I remember playing with Jeffrey's rat, and changing Rodger's diaper, and so many other things. The pictures are wonderful - I don't think I have had any contact with them since the kids were teenagers. Older Warren in some of the pictures looks so much like his dad, but in other ones bears a striking resemblance to my Uncle Kendal and Uncle Billy, who were the sons of Warren's mother's sister Marion. Amazing. Rest in peace, gentle soul. I hope we meet again.

I am imagining that Warren and my dad (Gary) are having one heck of a reunion in the afterlife.

So sorry for your family's loss. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

I wanted to write this personal note to say THANK YOU. It is thanks to you that I am the person that i am today. In my mind you are the kindest, thoughtful and most giving person that i have ever met. YES YOU ARE A ONE OF A KIND PERSON.

I met you in September of 1968 at Central Secondary School. At the time I did not know what to do with a hammer. We started a taxi business together. Over the years you taught me so much. You gave me self confidence to tackle any task even when I knew nothing about the problem at hand. Over the years you were always there for me. How does one say thank you for this?

When we sold the taxis you went on with your life and i with mine. My biggest regret now is that i did not make the effort to contact you more often and spend time with you.

Paula and I (and my children) owe you so much. I don’t known where to begin. I feel blessed that you were a major part of my life. You will live in my heart for the rest of my life. We will cherish your memory for the rest of our lives.

With Love
