Suddenly on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, fly fishing on the Saugeen, Bill Thompson, beloved husband of Shelley Ballantyne. Loving father of Donna van Zyl and her husband Peter. Cherished Poppa of Vivia. Dear brother of Joella Verch (the late Al) and family Allie and Tenessa. Dear son-in-law of Ethel and the late Rev. Bill Ballantyne. Bill will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law Jan Ballantyne (Doug Medland), brother-in-law Kent Ballantyne. Through his years of social activism he touched many lives. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Wednesday June 7th from 5:30 pm until the time of Bill's Celebration of Life at 7:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
