(1923 – 2023)

Passed to her rest peacefully at home in her 100th year after a brief illness, on March 11, 2023, surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Akio in 1998. Much loved mother to Gerry (Rosemary), Chris Chiasson, Kathy Lillie, Karen (George predeceased) and Andrew (Tracie). Cherished Grandma to Matthew (Sachiko), Kevin (Jackie), Greg, Justin (Shelli), Jutten Lillie (Stephanie), Denton Lillie (Natasha), Lee Kirilo, Kaleigh and Dustin. Treasured Baachan to 10 great-grandchildren, Kaya, Alejandra, Raquel, Kaleb, Marco, Adelaide, Niomi, Isla, Drexel and Cassian. Survived by siblings Rose, Kiyo and Yutch. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews and other extended family as well as numerous friends. Predeceased by siblings Edna, Sue, Jim, Betty, and Grace.

A special thank you to Dr. Juriansz, caregiver Almira as well as countless others who supported her in her home. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to Grandview Adventist Academy: www.grandviewschool.ca.

Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton, on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 2–4 pm and 6-8 pm. Service at Heritage Green Seventh-day Adventist Church, 349 Isaac Brock Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, March 16, at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Mount Hamilton Cemetery.

Everyone will miss the gentle strength and kindness of our dear Auntie Amy. She was loved and respected by all. It was always such a pleasure to see talk to her at our extended family gatherings. An amazing woman.
