In Celebration of

Anna Irene Farkas

March 27, 1934 -  July 9, 2024

Our mom, Anna Farkas (nee Nemeth), spreading unconditional love and joy wherever she went, passed on the eve of July 9th, 2024.
She will be greatly missed. Her infectious laugh, and smile that spread joy to everyone she met is embedded in our hearts forever. Mom, we loved our Sunday suppers with your delicious fried chicken, cabbage rolls, and other Hungarian delicacies. Your Hungarian desserts were out of this world. Your love for gardening and flowers, and animals will be forever cherished. As will you!
Anna was born in Magyarlak, Hungary on March 27, 1934. She is survived by her loving children Ester (Bruce) , Mariaana Katalina Farkas A.K.A. Coty (Patrick Saavedra) and Annie. Will be sadly missed by grandchildren Sara, Michael (Cleo), Vincent (Victoria), Anthony (Mackenzie) and great grandchildren Aurora, Brooke and Jasper. She was also the lovingly affectionate grandmother to fur grand baby Mignon.
Anna was a respected member of St. Michael’s Greek Hungarian Orthodox Church of Hamilton. She was involved in many activities including swimming at Sir Alan McNab Rec Centre, climbing the Hamilton escarpment stairs (multiple times!) and at the Burloak LTC Hood!
Thank you to all her caregivers who became her friends in her later years! Thank you to for all the support and care from the staff at Burloak. And also from Deerview, Shalom Village Adult Day Program and Wentworth Heights of Hamilton (her previous communities and hoods), your kind and compassionate care will never be forgotten.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to Alzheimer and Dementia Society to find a cure for this horrible disease would be greatly appreciated by the family.
