In Celebration of

Anthony (Tony) Reda

November 29, 1967 -  May 6, 2024

After a long battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we lost a hero, husband, father, son, nonno, and brother on May 6, 2024 at the Emmanuel House Hospice. Cherished husband for 23 year to Charmaine. Dear son of Franca & Luigi (Enza). Loving dad to Ashley (Jon), Kristen (Diogo) and Marcus. Loving nonno of Orlando, Ariana, Emma and Mateo. Dear brother of Rob (Jen), Gino (Kelly), John (Maria), step brother of Max (Milena) and Tony (Tanya). Brother-in-law of Kim (Terry) and Keith (Patty). Survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.

He was a dedicated member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 34 years achieving the rank of Sergeant. He joined the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry in 1991 deploying with them to Vukovar, Croatia. Tony transferred to the RCAF as an Aircraft Structures Technician in 1997 serving in Trenton, Cold Lake, Alberta and a tour of duty in Kandahar. His last posting was an aviation supervisor instructing new recruits at CFSATE at CFB Borden.

Those who knew and loved Tony will remember his character, a blend of integrity, determination, and kindness. He will be remembered for his passions, his generous spirit, and his profound love for his family. Throughout his life, Tony formed sincere and genuine connections and long-lasting friendships.
Tony was always a family man who cherished his family and his legacy lives on through his four grandchildren. They will lovingly remember him and the times spent hiking and enjoying one another.

Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, on Friday, May 10th from 1-3pm. Followed by a chapel service at 3pm. Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Support our Troops (www.supportourtroops.ca/donate) would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be made to www.baygardens.ca

Tony is a one of a kind, stand up Guy. He kept fighting tooth and nail right to the end.
Even Cancer could not Keep his fighting spirt down. He never complained once, right to the end. He is a shining example of what a person should be. He fought with courage and Valor in all things. He put his life on the line in mulitple campains, so that we and others could be safe in our homes. His service will not be forgotten. To those he loved, we are all truly blessed to have been part of Tony's inner circle, He will be missed but never forgotten. I consider myself blessed for having known Tony for over 40 years and being counted as his friend. I celebate the man that is Tony Reda. Till we meet again.
