In Celebration of

Barbara Joan Haley (nee Bull)

August 27, 1942 -  September 25, 2023

It is with saddened hearts that the family of Barbara Joan Haley (nee Bull) announces her passing on September 25, 2023, after a long-fought battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Pre-deceased by her loving husband Lorne, her parents Arthur and Joan, and her brother Jim. Survived and dearly missed by her brother Bob and sisters-in-law Marilyn and Frances, as well as her children Ron (Sandy), Rob (Tammy), Lorne (Lee Ann) and Chris (Lili). Grandma Barb adored her grandchildren Jenna, Tyler, Jacob, Evan, Emillee, Gregory (Allison), Daniel, Cassandra, and Sarah (Eric) and great-granddaughter Adeline. Barb was a loving, generous, kind, and caring woman who cherished time with her family and hosting Sunday dinners. Her memory lives on in all those who loved her; including her “euchre ladies” whose meetings were filled with friendship and laughter for over 40 years. In her spare time, Barb took great pride in her home and beautiful garden and spent her retirement years crafting her hobby of card-making. On every special occasion, family and friends alike would receive a handmade card, “Made with Love, by Barb”. The family would like to extend their immense gratitude to the staff at The Village of Wentworth Heights and to all those who cared for Barb in her health journey. As per Barb’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Barb’s family will receive visitors at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 947 Rymal Road East in HAMILTON on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 1st, 2023, from 2-4pm. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Hamilton would be greatly appreciated.

Sending my condolences to the York-Haley family. I'm so sorry to hear of Barb's passing. She was always very kind and I was always so grateful that Tyler and Jenna had such a wonderful Grammie. Also, she did make fantastic homemade cards. I remember the Hallowe'en ones being especially fun.
