Carla Cameron passed away unexpectedly on August 22, 2025, at Juravinski Hospital, leaving her family and friends deeply saddened. She was the beloved daughter of Stephanie Cameron and the late Tony Cameron.

Carla is survived by her loving mother, Stephanie; her brother, Hugh (Elana) Cameron; and her nephews, Marcus and Mitchell. Carla will also be dearly missed by many cousins—especially Tammi, Vivienne, Gillian, Maxine, Andrea, Floretta, Elizabeth, Collin, Johnny, Denton, and Deryck—as well as countless relatives and friends.

Carla’s life was marked by love, kindness, family, her entrepreneurial spirit, and a life long passion for learning. She spoke several languages, and loved to travel. Her career in Marketing and Adult Education reflected her compassion and advocacy for newcomers, women’s rights, and underserved communities.

Those who knew Carla will remember her for her grace, calm demeanour, and overwhelming kindness, rooted in her deep faith in Jesus. She had a rare gift for making others feel seen and valued, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton, on Thursday, September 4 from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. A funeral will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, on Friday, September 5 at 3 p.m.
