In Celebration of

Curtis Austin Murray

December 10, 1961 -  November 9, 2023

It is with a broken heart that I announce the passing of the love of my life, Curtis Austin Murray on November 9, 2023. Beloved husband and best friend to Mary Gossifidou. Devoted son of Herta and the late Austin Murray. Much loved son-in-law of the late George and the late Helen Gossifidou and cherished brother of the late Belinda Murray. Curtis will be missed but always remembered by his in-laws, cousins, aunts, nieces, and nephews both in Canada and Germany. He will be missed by his longtime friends and the family he made at Denninger's.

Curtis spent many years working at Denninger's and operating the family business. He loved talking about work and the people he met while there. In his spare time, Curtis enjoyed his hobbies, travelling (especially to Fort Lauderdale), fishing, and cooking.

The family would like to thank Bennet Kerlew and Belinda Uwimana for being companions and expressing their support. We would also like to specially thank all the caring staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital including Dr. Keith Tsoi and Kerry Atack for the compassion that Curtis was shown. Also, thank you to everyone who sent prayers, kind words, and offered to help over the last couple of months.

Bay Gardens Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 16th at Bay Gardens Funeral Home (1010 Botanical Drive, Burlington) from 10-11am with a service to follow at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be shared to Curtis’ tribute page at www.baygardens.ca
