It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Domenic Ferrelli surrounded by his family and friends on Monday, June 30, 2025, at the age of 49. Beloved husband and best friend to Leanne (Ventresca) for over 20 years and a devoted, loving, legendary father to his boys, Marco and Luca. Cherished son to Jessie, his late mother Maria (Pinciaro) and Stepmother Liliana Ferrelli. Dear son-in-law to Michael and Victoria Ventresca.
Domenic leaves behind his loving sisters Dana Ferrelli, Antonietta (Ferrelli) and brother-in-law Tony Zampini, brother-in-law Mike (Suzanne) Ventresca. Fondly remembered by his nephews and nieces: Zachary Zampini, Mikey, Antonetta, and Ashtyn Ventresca, along with his many aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends in the GTA, Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Port Colborne, Welland, Italy, and the United States.
Domenic lived each day to the fullest and had a close group of friends that became his family from a young age at St. Martin of Tours and Cardinal Newman High School. He will be forever missed by his best friends who were more like brothers, Leon Plevel, Mauro Monaco and many others, along with their families.
Domenic was a man of quiet strength, unwavering love, and deep integrity. He was a steadfast partner to his wife Leanne with whom he built a welcoming home filled with warmth, laughter, and enduring love. A dedicated family man who enjoyed being at home cooking, relaxing, and barbequing for his boys. Domenic was a hospitable man who would welcome all who entered his home with an espresso and meaningful life conversations. He loved watching sports like hockey, soccer and football, especially the Dallas Cowboys with his nephew Zachary, whom he loved with all his heart. Domenic was a loyal worker at Tamarack Lumber for over 25 years. He worked alongside many colleagues whom he respected and cared for deeply. Domenic took pride in building and maintaining positive relationships with all his customers. We send many thanks to the Guglietti families for their love, support and kindness during this very difficult time for our family.
Domenic will be truly missed for his compassion, humor, and love of life. He was known for his blunt one-liners that everyone became accustomed to. He was an incredible husband, dad, son, stepson, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. We will all cherish the love he gave us for the rest of our lives.
Our family would like to extend a heartfelt gratitude to everyone who took such wonderful care of Domenic at Juravinski Hospital. Thank you to Dr. Karachi for his guidance and support, all the nurses in ICU and especially Nurses Karen and Amy who showed such love and empathy to all of us during this time of sadness. Thank you to all the neighbours for their support, especially Sarah and her daughter for their bravery.
The family will receive family and friends for visitation on, Friday, July 4, 2025, at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, located at 947 Rymal Road East, in Hamilton, from 1-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 5 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, located at 63 Hwy 20, East in Stoney Creek, at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Cemetery, located at 681 Mud St East, in Stoney Creek.
