It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Ciardullo, age 62, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario August 26, 2025, after a courageous and brief battle with cancer.

Born on January 16th, 1963, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton, Elizabeth was the beloved daughter of Maria Ciardullo (nee Perrelli) and the late Francesco Ciardullo. She was the loving mother of Gianni Fortino and Maria Stonier (Matthew Stonier), and a cherished sister to Teresa Palermo (Pasquale Palermo) and Diana Montecristo (Salvatore Montecristo). She will be deeply missed by dear friends Angelo Fortino and Theresa Howell, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and all that got to be apart of her life.

Elizabeth lived a life devoted to helping others. Before her illness, she proudly graduated from the PSW program and found joy and purpose in caring for those in need. She loved the simple things in life, especially the ompanionship of her beloved cats, Milo and Zoey.

Thank you to the staff at Jurvanski hospital and St. Peters for the kindness that you have provided to Mom and our family during the last year.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home on September 6th, 2025, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the SPCA would be greatly appreciated by the family.
