It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Giuseppina Ciancone (nee Suffoletta) at the age of 92 on August 13, 2025. Mom passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Survived by her beloved husband Michelino after sharing 65 years of marriage. Loving mother of Joanna (Greg). Reunited with her beloved son Antonio (Lisa). Proud and devoted Nonna to Christina (Corey), Michael (Margaret) and Matthew (fiancée Victoria), who were the most precious joys in her life. Adoring Bisnonna to Sawyer and Mason.
Mom was born in Pettorano, sul Gizio, Italy. She is predeceased by her parents Giuseppe and Brigida Suffoletta and in-laws Sabatino and Giovanna Ciancone, brother Antonio (Dora), sister Filomena Radassao (Sebastiano), brother-in-laws Vittorio (Delia), Arnaldo (Maria Giovanna), Luigi (Maria Pia), sister-in-laws Sr. Maria and Ninetta.
Survived by her dear sister Domenica Tortis (late Donato). Zia Giuseppina will be greatly missed by her many wonderful nieces and nephews, dear cousins and friends in Canada, USA and Italy.
Mom lived a life of love, strength and generosity, rooted in her unwavering Catholic faith. Her devotion was an inspiration to us, and we find comfort knowing that her spirit and legacy will remain with us always. Her love and light will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She had a passion for baking and took great joy in sharing her delicious cookies with family and friends. We have countless fond memories of gathering around the table, surrounded by loved ones, that we will treasure forever. She will be dearly missed, but her love, her food, and the memories she created will live on through those she touched.
Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Rd. E. on Wednesday, August 20th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Rosary at 8 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church, 20 Idlewood Ave., Hamilton on Thursday, August 21st at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at Wentworth Lodge for the compassionate care they provided for Mom in her later years.
