Glen Roblin Brooks

January 3, 1933 – August 12, 2022

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Glen Roblin Brooks on August 12, 2022, surrounded by his family in Burlington, at the age of 89.

Glen will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife of 68 years, Beverly Diane (nee Norton); children, Kerry (Stan), Christine, Sheryl (Adam); grandchildren, Erin (Justin), Kate (Justin), Ethan; and great-grandchildren Makayla, Austin, Charlotte, and Ian; and extended family and friends. Glen was born and raised in Cherry Valley; predeceased by his parents, Morley and Irma and sisters Rusty, Lois, and Marion; survived by his brother Alan.

Glen was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing and never turned down a chance for a game of cards. He was a loyal fan of the Leafs and the Blue Jays. Glen was known for making us smile and laugh.

A Celebration of Life/Reception will take place on Saturday, August 27 at 1 o’clock at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 1010 Botanical Drive, Burlington, On L7T 1V1

In lieu of flowers, donations in Glen’s name can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada or Heart and Stroke Foundation.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at The Village of Tansley Woods for their care and compassion.

Glen, will be dearly missed. He was great Superintendent and later promoted to a General Superintendent. He was well liked and respected by fellow Superintendents, Labourer's and Carpenters. A very knowledgeable individual, kind, and firm when situation called for to get things done. I recall waking him up in the middle of the night after the company Christmas party was over, and both Glen and Bev were kind to invite Judy and I into their hotel room and we partied with them for another couple of hours prior to retiring. He was fantastic of an individual who we will miss dearly. Best wishes to Bev and the rest of the family.

Deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Glenn. He had a fabulous sense of humor and loved his family. I went to camp with Chris's family and friends. I really had a great time there. I cleaned the cat iron pan really well, or maybe not. I did learn a lot that weekend. He will be missed.
