In Celebration of

Ian (Whitney) Kretz

December 17, 1991 -  October 15, 2018

Passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018, after a long journey with mental health; at the age of 26. Forever in the hearts of proud parents, Paul and Judy; and loving sister Taylor. Precious memories bring grandfather Frank Kretz comfort. Always remembered and cherished by aunts and uncles; Larry and Joan Kretz, Janet Kretz, Catherine Kretz and Don Bennett, Jeffrey and Dawna Short, Jacqueline and Jim Stark, and Jennifer Campbell. A gentle soul never to be forgotten by many cousins, relatives and friends.

An advocate of the forgotten who went to spread love at places that not many had the courage to go, a true inspiration to many on their own journey, taking on the world's troubles and trying so hard to solve them.

Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 1010 Botanical Drive, BURLINGTON (905.527.0405) on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers and to honour Ian (Whitney), memorial donations to Mission Services Hamilton or please consider bringing a gently worn and/or new pair of foot ware, that the Kretz family will be donating following the service on Sunday. Ian (Whitney) often came home barefoot or in a different pair of shoes, as there was someone more in need.

I will never forget Ian. For a time he was my son Riley’s closest pal, and I watched him grow, and liked him for the kind, creative, warm kid he was. I am saddened that his life’s journey ended at so young an age. He will be missed.
