In Celebration of

Jerilee Janet Nyman

January 6, 1984 -  February 20, 2022

Our Jerilee was beautiful inside and out. Her heart, her smile and her faith were simply and amazingly genuine, and such an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She lived as she loved, with kindness, gentleness and grace. On Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the age of 38, our precious Jerilee went to be with Jesus, the One who gave her such courage and strength, the One who now has healed her.
Jerilee was the beloved wife and best friend of Mark, and dear momma and hero of Averie and Kendall.
Cherished daughter of Eric and Adele Haverkamp, loved sister of Brooke and Steven Robertson, Lance and Laney Haverkamp, Chad and Karisa Haverkamp, and Auntie Jer to Brynn, Josephine, Miles, Michael, Walter, Tobias, Joelle, Nevayah and Baby H.
Treasured daughter-by-love of Henry and Gerri Nyman, special sister of Craig and Beverly Nyman, Trevor and Selina Nyman, and Auntie Jer to Lucas, Addison, Sarah, and Dylan.
Jer’s love for people was evidenced by the sheer number of friends who will miss her deeply.
Dr. Jerilee Nyman was devoted to the care of her patients as an optometrist at Burlington Eye Care.
And Jerilee shared her musical gifts and love of worshipping the Lord with her faith family at The Meeting House Ancaster.
Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East in Hamilton, will host two times of Visitation with Jerilee’s family on February 24th and 25th from 5pm-9pm. Following a private Interment, those who loved Jerilee are invited to a Celebration of her life, which will be held at Redeemer University 777 Garner Rd E, Ancaster, on Saturday, February 26 at 11:00am.
We wish to thank Dr. Kazemi and her team at Juravinski Cancer Centre for their love and care for Jer. Expressions of sympathy made to Bright Run (brightrun.ca) will honour Jerilee’s commitment and passion to raise funds for local breast cancer research.
Jer’s friends and extended family, here and abroad, join us in grieving such loss, even as we celebrate the wonderful gift God gave us in her and the legacy she has left each of us with. Jerilee, we will love you forever.
Whatever I walk through, wherever I am, Your Name can move mountains wherever I stand. And if ever I walk through the valley of death, I’ll sing through the shadows my song of ascent.
