It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jimmy on July 16, 2023
at the age of 59 after a courageous fight with cancer.
Jimmy leaves behind his wife Jackie, his children Kate and Quinn and his
son-in-law Kurt.
Jimmy was loved by his mother Bernice Johnson and the late Harold Johnson.
He will be missed by his siblings Jerry and Cindy Johnson, Mike Johnson and
Kathy Rockall, Karen and Daren LePoidevin, Anne Clarke, Valerie and Paul
Massey and many nephews and nieces.
We would like to thank the supportive team at Bayshore, especially Nurse Marion
for her expert care. Also, the team at Juravinski Cancer Center including Dr.
Shaw, Dr. Slaven and Dr. McWhirter. Thank you to Princess Margaret Hospital in
Toronto under the guidance of Dr. Butler.
Jimmy’s life was cut short, but he had an amazing life filled with an incredible
family, amazing travel experiences and strong friendships. He lived a life that
most people only dream of and for that we will be forever grateful.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Bay Gardens Funeral Home on 947 Rymal Road East. Visitation will be held on Thursday July 20th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A chapel service will be held on Friday July 21st starting 11am-12pm. Reception to follow at the Bay Gardens reception lounge.

My deepest sympathies to Jackie, Kate & Kurt, and Quinn. I will always remember Jimmy’s remarkable sense of humour and his contagious laugh. Many happy memories of summers at my grandparents cottage, all the fun of high school and sharing all of life’s celebrations with “the gang”. You will be missed and very fondly remembered. Rest in peace Jimmy.

Was fortunate to ride around a good chunck of the continent with Jimmy on our motorcycles over the years, some great life long memories, and I enjoyed every minute of it!
