Tarquini, Luigi
June 8th, 1944 - September 29th, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Luigi Tarquini, lovingly surrounded by his family, at the age of 81, on September 29, 2025, at Hamilton General Hospital. Once again reunited with his beloved wife Doralice.

Son of the late Umberto and Vincenza Tarquini. Devoted Father of the late Roberto, Sandra, Nancy (John) Abel, and Norma (Stephen) Welsh. Loving Nonno of Joseph, Stephanie, Madeline, Gabriel, and Quintin, including Scott (Summer), as well as 5 Great-grandchildren. Cherished Brother of the late Anita (Romeo) Averno, the late Gabriele (Dora) Tarquini, and the late Angela (Natuci) Fratoni. Devoted son in law to the late Emidio and Esterina Di Pietro, and brother-in-law to the late Vittorio (Giuseppina) Di Pietro, the late Elda (Sestilio) Finocchi, and Italo (Anna) Di Pietro.

Luigi will be forever missed by many nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends in Italy, Belgium, and the United States.

Luigi and Doralice left Italy for Canada in 1967, with dreams of raising a family and starting their new life. Luigi retired from Stelco Hilton Works after 32 years of service. He was an active member of the Trieste Bocce Club. Luigi was an avid outdoorsman, and very proud of maintaining a well-kept home.

Luigi’s devotion to his family was immeasurable. His pride and joy came from providing for his family and seeing his children grow and succeed, to carry on the traditional values that he and his wife instilled.

We will forever cherish the love, sacrifices, strength, and devotion that he carried throughout his entire life.

Visitations will be held at Bay Garden Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton, 905-574-0405, on Thursday October 2nd, 2025, from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 620 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, on Friday October 3rd, 2025, at 11 am. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Cemetery, in Stoney Creek.
