October 6, 1958 - July 29, 2025

Peacefully surrounded by her family on July 29, 2025 at the Juravinski Hospital in her 66th year. Beloved wife of 49 years to Jose. Cherished mother of Jeff (Amy Comeau) and Brian. Loving Vavó of Chelsie and Tyson. Dear sister of José (Gabriella), João (Helena), Humberto (Liz), Sãozinha (Lopes) and Paul (Nellie). Sister-in-law of Connie Freitas (Frank), Nelly Aguiar, and Louie (Melinda). Survived by several nieces and nephews in Canada and the US. Predeceased by her mother Maria Cabral.

Maria fought a strong battle against cancer and she will be lovingly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, on Friday, August 1st from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Catherine of Sienna Church on Saturday, August 2nd at 930am. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Online condolences can be made to www.baygardens.ca
