In Celebration of
Monica Sofia Pereira Janicas
December 31, 2003 -
March 19, 2023
It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of our cherished and loved little girl suddenly on Sunday, March 19, 2023, Monica Sofia Pereira Janicas, at the age of 19 years. The affectionate, caring and loving daughter of Paulo Janicas and Patricia Pereira. Cherished granddaughter to Maria de Lourdes and the late Horacio Janicas and Mario and Maria Pereira. Adored niece of Andre (Jessica), Gina (Ruben) Filipe (Kali), and Victor. She will be fondly remembered by her cousins Ava, Levi, Alexandre, Adriana, Angelina, Michael and Christian.
Our little Moniquita had unimaginable talents, many of which she was too shy or humble to show the world around her. Her artistic expression came out in her sketches and drawings, her love for animals showed in her horseback riding and devotion for Jasmine and Aerial her cherished perpetual puppies; which ultimately led to her decision to pursue animal biology at University of Guelph. Her love for gaming, everything Marvel, anime, reading, music and Disney were only a small fraction of her interests which were also reflected in her art. Travelling the world, experiencing new cultures and more recently her increasing interest in planning & preparing meals and baking were some of her passions. But most importantly she is the most beautiful, intelligent and selfless soul we will ever know.
