It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Ruffo, surrounded by the love of family, after a brief illness bravely fought.
Paul will be so very missed and loved “forever and a day” by his wife, Sandy. Also left with big holes in their hearts are his son Aaron, his brother Joe and his wife Lynda, and his brother Angelo. His cousins and many friends will also miss him deeply. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Inez Ruffo, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, who he now joins for card games, good Italian food, practical jokes and laughter. Paul was also very proud and grateful to have been a friend of Bill W.’s for over 8 years.
Paul was a friend to anyone who crossed his path and would help out anyone with anything they needed – sometimes even before they realized they needed it. Everyone got smiles, a big hearty laugh, coffee, cookies and treats, and unconditional friendship and love. He was a born and raised Hamiltonian who loved the Ticats and the Miami Dolphins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Bay Gardens, 1010 Botanical Drive, Burlington. As per Paul’s wishes, cremation has taken place and the immediate family will gather for a private service on Saturday, September 9th, 2023. A celebration of Paul’s life for extended family and friends will be planned for the near future.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Paul’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Wayside House in Hamilton, ON. Online condolences may be made at www.baygardens.ca
