In Celebration of

Rodolfo "Rudy" Di Marcello

Di Marcello, Rodolfo "Rudy"

It is with great sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and Nonno, Rodolfo Di Marcello on Sunday October 1st 2017. After a heroic battle, and surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren Rodolfo was taken from us too soon. Survived by his devoted and loving wife Teresa, dearest son Gino, and his wife Laurie (his second daughter), and beloved daughter Laura. Dearest Nonno to his pride and joy, his granddaughters, Grace and Emma. Rodolfo leaves behind many relatives, and friends in Italy and Canada. He leaves us with the memory of his generous spirit and his cool and calm demeanour. Everyone will miss his cooking, snide comments, quick wit and no one will make better sauce than him. We will miss him dearly and we know he is free in Heaven. Special thank you to the staff at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, Dr. Thompson, and Rita Cioffi. Cremation has taken place; Rodolfo’s final resting place will be in the mountains of San Biagio, Italy.

I did not know the man himself but I know his daughter Laura very well. He did a fantastic job of raising such an amazing woman, which speaks volumes to the man he was.

He surely will be missed but he definitely left a lot of his good qualities with Laura.

May he now Rest In Peace.

You really were a one-of-a-kind and it certainly was inspiring to see how you made your own path in this life. And no matter how many times I've heard it it always made me laugh when you would end any discussion by saying "no speaka d'english". You will be missed Uncle Rudy.

All my love to you Aunt Teresa, Laura, Gino, Laurie, Emma, Grace and all the Di Marcello's. Xoxo Kristen
