Ronald Wayne Ebert

June 10, 1948 -  March 12, 2025

Ronald Wayne Ebert passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital on March 12th, 2025 after a brave battle with bone marrow cancer at age 76. Ron was born on June 10, 1948 in Tillsonburg. He is predeceased by his parents Karl and Ruth(Kohl) Ebert and his step-father Albert DeVos. Beloved husband of Diane (Stewart) for almost 55 years. Loving father to Aaron (Dawna), Ryan (Jessica), Kevin (Cristina) and Anne-Marie (Denis). Proud Papa to Isaac, Zachary, Alexis, Ava and Nicholas. Ron is survived by his sister Janet (Jerry Vanhooren),sister-in-law Linda (Jerry) Slote and brother-in-law Mark (Carol-Le, deceased) Stewart, Aunt and Uncle, Eileen and Jack Greason and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ron was employed by Ontario Hydro/Hydro One for 31 1/2 years as an electrician in high voltage maintenance. Ron was retired for almost 25 years and held various part-time jobs afterwards to keep himself busy. He thoroughly enjoyed the years spent on the seasonal camping sites at Cayuga, North Bay and most recently at Ryan’s trailer at Brant Park. With Diane by his side, they travelled to exciting destinations around the world with close friends. Ron coached his children in minor hockey and ringette and proudly supported his grandchildren in all their activities. He was a longtime active member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. In retirement, Ron volunteered for Victory Gardens, Good Shepherd Venture Centre and the Cancer Assistance Program (CAP).
Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home at 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Sunday March 16th from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm.
Funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church at 30 Erie Ave. N., Fisherville on Monday, March 17th at 11am. Interment at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Fisherville.
Special thanks to Dr. Garcia-Horton and staff at Juravinski Cancer Centre and ODS (Oncology Day Services) for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Good Shepherd Venture Centre Food Bank and the Cancer Assistance Program (CAP).
