In Celebration of

Scott McGregor

December 5, 1960 -  November 5, 2024

It is with broken hearts, that we announce the passing of Scott McGregor on Tuesday November 5th 2024 at Margaret’s Place Hospice in Dundas, ON. After a 10 month battle with pancreatic cancer, Scott left us, peacefully, in his 64th year, surrounded by the ever enduring love of his family.

Born on December 5th 1960 in Toronto, ON to proud parents, Shirley and the late Robert McGregor. Scott was a kind and gentle man, who lived life on his own terms – a skeptic, an intellect but humble, a lighthearted, playful soul, ever wise beyond his years. He had a love of remote control planes, drones and movies. Scott found meaning and his life’s purpose in the love he shared with his family. He instilled his family values with his daughter, Jenna.

Scott is survived by his wife, Bonnie, his daughter, Jenna (Kevin), Granddaughter, Sloane, Stepdaughters Alena (Eric), Emily (Erik). He was a brother to Laurie (Dennis) and Julie (Wally). An uncle to Andrew (Kerry), the late Jared, Michael (Grace), Devon (Lara) and many more nieces and nephews. A brother in law to Sandy (Dave), Carol (the late Francis), Barry (Theresa), Karl (Wendy), the late Victor and will be greatly missed by his extended family and many friends.

His legacy will live on in the immeasurable impact he had on our minds and in the love we will carry for him in our hearts forever.

Our family would like to extended our most heartfelt gratitude to the team at Juravinski Hospital and Margaret’s Place Hospice for the exceptional and compassionate treatment Scott received while in their care.

An intimate funeral service will be held on Friday November 15th 2024 in the Tranquility Garden in Woodland Cemetery, Burlington, where Scott will be laid to rest. Family will be received in a private celebration of Scott’s life on Friday November 15th 2024 at 1:00PM at Bay Gardens Funeral home 1010 Botanical Dr., Burlington, ON L7T 1V1(905-527-0405).

Today I lost a dear friend and family member. Scott was dedicated to his family and for those who knew him a remarkable person, father, grandfather and husband. For years Scott and I would have our Friday therapy sessions in Burlington, at Shoeless Joe's where we discussed pretty much everything but mostly we listened to each other's news, share our interests ( RC and stuff), our triumphs, and life's challenges. I can tell you it saved me and made me a better person. This isthe impact Scott had on me. During some of the most difficult time of my life he was there for me. His love of family and his wife Bonnie was amazing to behold. His love for the outdoors and sharing this passion with his daughter Jenna and his wife Bonnie enhanced an already wonderful relationship. Seldom you will meet people like Scott in your life that have such a profound effect on your well being. My dear friend oh how I will miss you.
