In Celebration of

Shirley Easy

June 27, 1936 -  February 7, 2025

Easy, Shirley (nee Pelletier) passed away peacefully on February 7th, 2025 at Hampton Terrace Care Centre in Burlington, Ontario at the age of 88.

Deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Brenda Easy (Brad Swainsbury), and Russell Easy (Dorothy Easy), and grandchildren Brittany Swainsbury (Douglas Swainsbury), Kara Easy, Samantha Easy and Darby Easy (Jacob), her sister Dolores Imbesi and brother Sonny Pelletier, as well as many beloved extended family and friends.

Shirley was married to her husband Harold Easy for 47 years before his passing on December 14th, 2001. Remembered fondly for their love of bowling, dedication to the Royal Canadian Legion (Bells Corners Branch 593), and snowmobiling. Shirley and Harold always put family first, with an open door policy everyone was welcome in their home and at their table

Shirley was born June 27th 1936 in Ottawa, Ontario. The second youngest of five children, she grew up surrounded by family and always found great joy when spending time with loved ones. She was a homemaker after marrying Harold on September 18, 1954 and then worked for many years at Nemo Briar Jewelry Manufacturing in Hull, Quebec. Shirley loved music, her kitchen always had a radio on and when the mood was right she could be heard singing along to her favourites. With a love for bingo and cards, she was always ready for a new challenge in the board games her granddaughter, Brittany, brought to family gatherings and even excelled at Wii Bowling! Known for her kindness and compassion, Shirley was always there for her family and will forever be so dearly remembered and missed.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the wonderful staff at Hampton Terrace for their care, kindness and support during Shirley's time with them.
Please consider donating to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.

Private cremation has taken place. Burial will occur in late May in Cantley, Quebec. More details to be shared in the coming weeks. Please take a moment to sign the online guestbook.

I had the pleasure of meeting Shirley on numerous occasions when Brittany and I worked together at Spa Vaidosa. She was such a lovely, kind person. My sincerest condolences to Brenda & Brad, Brittany & Doug and the entire family.

Aunt Shirley was the "second half" of a fantastic couple. My Uncle Harold & Aunt Shirley were always accommodating and loving to my mother Lois and us (her boys). Uncle Harold was like a father to me. Aunt Shirley was always smiling and kind. We would spend endless hours playing cards, talking and just hanging out.

Auntie is finally back with her beloved husband.

I will always have love and happy memories of my auntie Shirley :)
