June 10, 1963- May 31, 2023
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Steven Gregory Bird. Survived by his loving life partner and soul mate Paula Herod. Loving father of Scott, Nick and step-dad of Dre. Fondly remembered by mother-in-law Joy. Steve was born in Orillia Ontario to the late William and Barbara Bird. Will be sadly missed by his 10 siblings Ted (Lori) Carol (Lee), Debbie (John), Michael, Billy (Janet), Robin (Patti), Linda (Bob), Brenda, Leslie and Maureen (Sherry). Will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. His kindness friendship and sense of humour will sadly missed by dear friends Sean, Mark, and Bob and Connie along with the entire “Court” family.
Steve will be forever remembered for his sense of humour, love of music and sports, his exceptional gardening skills, his love for animals, and his loving, caring (sometimes stubborn!) nature. Steve lived his life with determination, strong will power and heart of gold to all those he held dear.
Steve’s passing leaves an emptiness in all our lives, he will be forever missed.


Visitation will be held on Friday June, 9th from 11am to 1 pm at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - Hamilton, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton with Celebration of Life to follow at 1:00 pm in the Bay Gardens Chapel.
