Vince Di Federico
August 3, 1935 -
July 15, 2021
Di Federico, Vince:
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Vince after a brave, and brief, battle with Cancer. Vince was a devoted, loving husband and best friend to Monica for over 30 years. He was a dear father to Eldon.
Vince was born in Civitella (Abruzzo) Italy, and immigrated to Canada where later he proudly served on the Hamilton Fire Department for 31 years. Pre-deceased by his parents Marie and Ermanno, brother John, and sister Hilda. Survived by sister-in-law Lina, brother Fred (Sylvia), brother-in-law Richard and many nieces and nephews, and their children who will miss him deeply. Vince will also be missed by his in-laws Rose, Shirley, Tony, Tanya, and Adam, as well as his many friends and golf buddies. You know who you are.
Vince was a quiet man with a big heart and a good friend to many. The spirit of his love of life and passion will live on through his family and friends. Vince and Monica made memories in their many travels, especially spending their winters in Florida, where Vince loved the sun and beaches. His other loves were golfing cooking, and a good game of bocci. We cherish our friendships with many people in Florida.
Special thanks to Dr. Mark Grafham for his compassion and help during this difficult time. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at Juravinski Hospital for their kindness and extraordinary care. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton Ontario, (905)-574-0405 on Sunday July 18th from 3-8pm. Due to Covid restrictions a private service will be held.

When I Must Leave You
When I. must leave you
for a little while, please do not grieve and shed wild tears,
And hug your sorrow to you through the years.
But start out bravely with a gallant smile;
And for my sake and in my name Live on. and do all things the same,
Feed not your loneliness on empty days,
But fill each waking hour in useful ways.
Reach out your hand.in comfort And in cheer,
And I in turn will comfort you And hold you near,
And never, never be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the sky!
