It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our cherished mother, Virginia Tournidis (nee Serbinis) on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the age of 104. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Steve Tournidis.

Virginia was a devoted and loving mother to the late Pano Tournidis (Susan), Robert Tournidis, and Voula Catsoudas (Mike Savvis). She was a cherished Yiayia to Steve Tournidis (Carolina), Melissa Tournidis, Chris Tournidis (Jocelyn), Mykal Tournidis (Lindsay), Kosta Catsoudas, and Virginia Catsoudas, and a proud great-yiayia to eight great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family in Canada and Greece.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers at CBI Home Health (Napoli), St. Joseph’s Home Care, her dedicated family physician Dr. Richard Tytus and his team (Mary-Jane), and the supportive pharmacy staff (Michelle) who helped care for Virginia with dignity and kindness.

Virginia’s life was a testament to strength and love. She immigrated from Greece and built a strong and vibrant family rooted in the values she held dearest: family, faith, and food. Her legacy lives on in every meal shared, every family gathering, and every act of kindness passed down through generations.

She will be deeply missed “too too mach!”

Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton, on Tuesday September 16th from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m. and 6p.m. till 9 p.m. (Prayers at 7:00 p.m.) Funeral to be held at St. Demetrios Church at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday September 17th. Burial at Woodland Cemetery to follow.
