It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Antonio Sabatino on Tuesday, February 10th, 2026 in his 88th year.

Loving and devoted husband of Maria Sabatino (nee Finelli) for over 62 beautiful years. Much loved father of Angela Di Cesare (Adam), Nick (Virginia) and Joe (Sandra). Proud nonno of Anthony (Jessie), Alyssa (Matthew), Alexander (Victoria), Michael (Isabella), Danielle, Claudio (Grace) and Luc (Erica). Adored bisnonno of Sienna, Grayson, Mila and Milana. Predeceased by his parents Nicola and Angelina Sabatino and in-laws Giuseppe and Concetta Finelli and his siblings Maria Ruggiero (Cesare), Francesco Sabatino (Lucia), Michele Sabatino, Nicola Sabatino (Concetta) and Grazia Gentili (Nazzareno). Dear brother-in-law of Michele Finelli (late Maria Filippa) of Australia and the late Rosaria Falcone (late Ignazio). Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends in Canada, Italy and Australia.

Antonio was born in Roseto Valfortore, Foggia, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1958. He was a long-standing employee of Camco but his greatest passion was his family. Family gatherings and supporting his grandchildren in their endeavours is what brought him the greatest joy. He enjoyed many hours cultivating his garden and fruit trees.

We are grateful for the exceptional care and compassion provided by Dr. Wasi, Dr. Taniguchi and the nursing staff on 3East at St. Peter’s Hospital.

Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Monday, February 16th from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 620 Rymal Road East., Hamilton on Tuesday, February 17th at 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Burlington. For those who wish, memorial donations made to St. Peter’s Hospital are appreciated.
