Passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, surrounded by his beloved wife of 55 years Janet (nee Priems) and his children.

He is survived by his wife Janet; daughter Robin (Dave) and sons Patrick and Scott (Leanne); predeceased by his son Andrew (Kate); loving grandfather to Ethan, Abby, Riley, Gavin, Charlotte, Bronwyn, Emma and Preston. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends, family and neighbours.

Arnold was born in Elkhorn, MB and moved to Ontario where he set roots after meeting his wife Janet. They grew their family to four children, which now includes eight grandchildren. Arnold loved his family above all else and showed that dedication through a lifetime of acts of service. He was quick to offer a ride, to pick up a shovel and get his hands dirty and he’d quickly have
you chuckling with dad jokes.

Arnold was a diligent, loyal and hardworking man who celebrated 49 years of service with International Harvester (Navistar International) before enjoying his retirement travelling, gardening, camping, boating, waterskiing and spending time with family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29th from 2-4pm and 6-9pm at Bay Gardens Funeral Home at 947 Rymal Road East in Hamilton. Private family funeral service to be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to McMaster Children’s Hospital.
