It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Emilia Cipriani, who passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, at the age of 89.
Born on August 11, 1936, in Pacentro, Italy, Emilia lived a life defined by strength, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family. In 1958, she bravely journeyed to Canada, arriving in Halifax by boat with her beloved husband, Francesco, and their eldest daughter, Anna, in search of a new life filled with opportunity. Through courage and determination, she helped build a strong foundation for her family that continues to carry forward through generations.
Emilia was predeceased by her loving husband, Francesco, and is now reunited with him, as well as with her parents, brothers, and sister. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing they are together again.
She was a deeply devoted and loving mother to Anna (Dominic), Joseph (Luisa), Maria (Peter), Angelo (Ruxandra), and Louisa. Her love extended to her cherished grandchildren—Carmine (Melissa), Frankie (Nancy), Dominic Jr (Kailey), Armando, Chiara, Catalina, Patrick, and Simona—and her beloved great-grandchildren, Isiah, Mason, Vincenzo, Luciano, Emma, and Matteo, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
Emilia was a woman of strong convictions, who lived her life with purpose, practicality, and simplicity. She made countless sacrifices for her family, always putting their needs above her own. Through her actions, she instilled in her children the values of hard work, resilience, and integrity—gifts that will remain with them forever.
She will be remembered not only for her strength, but for the quiet, steadfast love that shaped the lives of everyone around her. Her legacy lives on in the family she built, the traditions she carried, and the love she gave so freely.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Madison Village Long Term Care and Hamilton General Hospital for their compassionate care and attention.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bob Kemp Hospice in her memory. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
