It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Iona Mae Dick (nee Pleadwell) at the age of 87 on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. She will be reunited with her beloved husband, Robert, of 63 years, who left us in 2019. Mom will be missed by her loving family, her son, Wayne (deceased, 2022) and daughter, Karen (David). Cherished grandmother to Ashley (Reid), Derek (Amy), Steven (Cassandra), Jeremy (Dana) and Matthew (Megan) and great grandmother to Mason, Finley, Henry, Peter, Morrison, Edmund, Kash, Kane, Trey, Ava Marie, and Hailey. She will be missed by her sisters, brothers and many nieces and nephews.

Iona was a devout employee of 25 years at St. Peter's Hospital. She was a proud volunteer and dedicated her life to the legion. Iona lived for Friday night Fish & Chips, meat draws, Saturday night dances, Sunday afternoon dances and Monday night Women's Auxiliary. Iona was a volunteer each fall for Remembrance Day Poppies and could be found in Limeridge Mall each Christmas season, ringing the kettle for the Salvation Army. Iona's generosity touched countless lives.

Visitations will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home (947 Rymal Road East) on Monday, September 29th, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at Bay Gardens on Tuesday, September 30th, 2025 at 11:00 AM.

Iona will forever be remembered for her warmth and kindness, and many kisses and hugs. She will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
