HURST, Joan Elizabeth passed away on February 23, 2026 at St. Josephs Hospital in her 87th year. Predeceased by her husband Doug (2011), and her nephew Michael Young (2013). Survived by sister Ann Young, and brother John (Beverley).
Joan will be sadly missed by family and friends. She loved to beautify her surroundings, and loved entertaining. She scheduled her hair appointments regularly (thanks Tracey).
The family extends sincere thanks to the St. Joe's Palliative care team.
Cremation will take place, and she will be laid to rest with her husband Doug in the spring. Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
In memory of Joan, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice.
