Passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington at the age of 97. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Lea Anne Moran (Jim Chan) and Lynn Schumacher; and his stepchildren Val Nie (Gary (2012), Richard and Michael (Terri) Kimmerley. He will be missed by his grandchildren Aaron (Kendall) and Jamie, as well as his great-grandchildren, Archer and Jake; and many step-grandchildren and step- great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Agnes (Fichke), together for 46 years, first wife Gloria (Johnston); his daughter, Lori and son-in-law Greg Sharpe, granddaughter, Jodie and sisters, Rheta Quinn and Barbara Fraser.
After retiring, Lloyd enjoyed many sunny days playing golf and could be found weekly on the course until age 90. He loved spending time with his family and newfound friends. After he moved to Park Avenue Manor, he was able to enjoy the many activities and programs offered to him and received the utmost loving care. A huge thank you to the PSWs, nurses, and staff who cared for him there, and to the doctors and nurses at Joseph Brant Hospital.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Bay Gardens Funeral Home (1010 Botanical Drive, Burlington). Cremation has taken place, and a family memorial and entombment will take place at a later date at Bayview Cemetery.
