It’s with heavy hearts that the family of Lorraine Yachetti announce her passing on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Lorraine was in her 82nd year of a life filled with quiet strength, strong family values and tons of love. Beloved wife of 64 years to Venicio, loving mother to Cynthia (John), Lisa (Fritz) and David. Cherished Nana to Regina, Marisa, Valerie, Jack and Dryden, and great-grandmother to August. Lorraine is survived by her sister Lillian and predeceased by her parents Daisy and Hugo and sister Susie.

Lorraine will be remembered for her kind heart, abounding generosity to others, and unwavering dedication to her family. She was a pillar of strength and love, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A very special thank you to the nurses, doctors, social workers and PSWs at Macassa Lodge and St. Peter’s Hospital for their loving care and support.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 1st from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bay Gardens, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton. The Funeral Service will be held in the Bay Gardens Chapel on Tuesday, December 2nd at 11:00 am followed by entombment at Bayview Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society in her memory.
