Luigi (Gino) Pasinato passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the age of 94. He is lovingly remembered by his partner of 27 years, Millie Ines, and his late wife, Paola Russo, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage. Gino is also remembered by his children, Alessandra (Peter) and Patricia (Hy); his grandchildren, Nathan (Gina), Stefanie, Justin (Catherine), and Jason (Katherine); and his great-grandchildren, Eric, Eli, and Sonny. Gino is survived by his two sisters Anna Bianchin, and Ivana Guadagnin, as well as numerous relatives in Italy and Argentina.

Gino emigrated from Rosa, Italy, to Canada with his brother Bruno, landing in Nova Scotia on September 14, 1954, eventually settling in Hamilton. Over the next 35 years, Gino built the quintessential Canadian dream. He established Pasinato Haulage as a leading Haulage Broker in the Hamilton and surrounding area, contributing to the development of monumental buildings (such as the Piggott Building), residential and commercial construction, and the building of all major roadways leading from Hamilton to Toronto.

He was awarded the Gold Medal Certificate of Merit for services abroad by the Chamber of Commerce of Vicenza on May 30, 1992.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Bay Gardens Funeral Home (947 Rymal Road East Hamilton). A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, from 2-4 p.m. or 7-9 p.m. at Bay Gardens. A prayer service will take place on Friday, November 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Bay Gardens Chapel, followed by entombment at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery (600 Springs Gardens Road, Burlington).
