Early on December 8th, the earthly journey of Pearl Anne Kassay ended, 3 days before her 95th birthday. She was the devoted daughter of Errsebet and Imre Puskas. Her indomitable spirit carried her through life’s greatest challenges. She was predeceased by husbands Michael Jeles and Stephen Kassay and daughters Lana Fawcett, Nancy D’Olimpio and son-in-law Tony D’Olimpio. She is mourned by her daughter Pearl Anne Charter and sons-in-law David Charter and Ted Fawcett. She was the loving grandmother of Erin Charter (Brendan White) and Jordan Charter (Jane Kennedy) and proud “GG” of Beau and Evelyn Charter. As a child and young woman, Pearl worked tirelessly as the daughter and wife of tobacco farmers. She later completed further education and retired from a career in Human Resources. Her hobbies and passions were dancing, quilting, travel and playing cards. However, the greatest of these was golf. She walked 18 holes 3 times per week, had 2 “holes in one” and she was thrilled to beat her children and grandson on the golf course. Her family will long remember the many adventures we shared.
