Roy Springstead passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday October 4th at his home, in Hamilton at the age of 86. Born in Hamilton, ON on May 30th, 1939.

Roy was the dear son of the late Roy Sr. and Anne (nee Warren) Springstead.

Predeceased by his dear wife Doreen (nee Quinlan) married for 59 loving years. Be loved father of Quinn and Andrea Springstead. Loving and caring grandpa of Brooke and Quinn. Survived by his sister Carol Sauers (Leon) predeceased by brother Jerry (Doreen) and Ted (Doreen).

Sadly, missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Roy was a retiree of Dofasco since 1992 after 33 years with the company. He enjoyed his retirement golfing and working as a Marshall at Hamilton Golf & Country Club. He was a lifetime member of the Hamilton YMCA.

Roy loved to travel with Doreen especially to their favorite destination, Treasure Island, In Florida.

He will be sadly missed by his many friends and Neighbours in the community.

Rest in Peace Dad, grandpa. Roy joining in the loving arms of Doreen. Until we meet again. Always in our hearts. We love you Dad, Grandpa.
