Age 99, passed away peacefully in Hamilton on January 31, 2026.
Formerly of Orillia, Ruth is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Cathy Faber (Warren) and Connie Ritchie (Lark); her two grandchildren, Laura Ritchie (Ed Carroll) and Allan Ritchie (Carrie); and her five great-grandchildren, Wesley, Markus, Elda, Shelby, and Jack.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Rowlands (1984); her parents, Dora and Garfield Whyte; and her six siblings, Wesley, Donald, Marjorie, Lloyd, Reta, and Carman.
In keeping with Ruth's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. She will be interred at a later date in Whitby.
