Passed away peacefully on March 4th, 2026 at Birchmount Hospital, Scarborough at the age of 90 years old. Loving wife to her husband of 65 years, Ai Min Deng; and caring mother to her children, Linda Sze with Kwong Chi Sze, Ying Ping Deng with Ivy Yao, Joe Deng with Linda Chen, Thomas Tang with Florence Lui; grandchildren, Sheila Sze with Muhammad Ali Sarfraz, Serena Sze with Zimu Zhang, Daniel Deng with Alice Qi, Sophia Deng, Benjamin Tang with Vanessa Ying; great-grandchildren, Laith Ali, Eleanor Ali; and numerous other family members and friends.

Yi Shu was predeceased by her beloved grandson, Michael Deng.

Her favourite past times included shopping, travelling to new places, and playing mahjong with her friends.
