With saddened hearts we announce the sudden passing of Ada Mussner Chiocchio on August 27th, 2025, at the Juravinski Hospital in her 51st year. Ada is survived by her beloved husband Mark, to whom she has been married to for 17 years. Ada leaves behind her incredible son Koen who she thought the world of and was more proud of every day. She will be remembered by her father Fausto Chiocchio (Velia), brother Albert (Linda, Christina (Chris), Velia (Nick), Tatina (Chanz), sister Cinzia (Peter), Jagur Orme, Tessa Orme and her mother-in-law Brigitte Mussner. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her - extended family and friends.

Ada was born in Hamilton Ontario on June 5th, 1974. She was an accomplished gymnast and dedicated much of her youth to the sport and to her gym. Following her years as an athlete, she coached at the Hamilton Gymnastic Academy for 18 years. Once completing her degree at McMaster University, Ada went on to teacher’s college and subsequently taught throughout the Hamilton Public School Board for 27 years. Ada loved time with her son, cottage trips and Cuba vacations. She will be fondly remembered for her selfless acts of kindness towards others and unwavering love for her family and friends.

We wish to thank the staff at the Juravinski Hospital for their exceptional kindness and empathy demonstrated towards Ada in her time of need.

Friends and relatives will be received for visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton, on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 4th, 2025, at 3 p.m. with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hamilton Gymnastics Academy in Ada’s name would be appreciated.
