In Celebration of
Al Cosentino
October 20, 1962 - August 30, 2025
It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Alfonso "Al" Cosentino in his 63rd year on August 30th, 2025, at the Juravinski Hospital after a courageous battle with AML.
Beloved husband to Josie for 36 years, Loving father to Michael (Krista) and Marina. Proud Mr. Nonno to Eva.
Al was the son of Francesca and the late Salvatore Cosentino, and son-in-law to Maria (predeceased) & Salvatore (predeceased) Campanella. Survived by his brother Joe (Michelle) Cosentino and sister Mary (Tony) Losak. Brother-in-law to Grace (Nick) Volpe, Mary (Phil) Ciuro. Al will be remembered by many nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends and co-workers.
Al worked hard his whole life. He worked for the family business Cosentino Bread for many years. In 1986 became a Real Estate agent for Canada Trust where he became rookie and salesman of the year. Later moved to Re/max where he was top producer for many years. He was always dedicated and worked long hours making sure his clients were happy. Al loved his job and worked while in the hospital to the very end.
Al had a big heart and would help others that asked for his help. He was a force to be reckoned with! His legacy will live forever.
Thank you to all the nurses and PSW's on C4 and B3 who took good care of Al and thank you to his oncologist Dr. Lepic, and all the support from family, friends and co-workers. A special thank you to Al's sister Mary for being there every day.
Rest in peace now Al. Nonna opened the door for you.
Visitations will take place at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, located at 947 Rymal Road East, in Hamilton, on Friday September 5, 2025, from 1-5 & 6-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at the Incarnation of our Blessed Lord Parish, located at 400 Pottruff Road North, in Hamilton, on Saturday September 6, 2025, at 10 am. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Cemetery located at 681 Mud St E, in Stoney Creek.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
