It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew Henry, most legendarily known as “Dibbz.” He departed this life on September 8, 2025, in Hamilton, Ontario, at the age of 38. Born on December 4, 1986, in Southampton, Ontario, Andrew lived a life marked by loyalty, creativity, and impact.
Raised in the small town of Port Elgin, Andrew later moved to Hamilton, where he attended Sir John A. Macdonald High School and earned recognition as a junior basketball MVP. His passion for music and entrepreneurship led him to become a pioneer of the Hamilton hip-hop scene, celebrated as one of the premier MCs of Steel City. A baptized Israelite, he carried his faith boldly and with dignity.
Andrew had a deep love for spending time with family and friends. His generous, joyful, loyal, and honorable nature touched everyone he met. Whether through music, laughter, or heartfelt debate, he left a lasting impression.
He was predeceased by his mother, Marva Henry, and his grandparents, Dudley Henry, Kenrick Marcano, Evelyn Marcano, and Enid Henry, who welcomed him with open arms. He is survived by Anderson Henry, Kwasi Henry, Kwame Henry, Keisa Henry, Isaiah Henry, Aaliyah Henry, Jayda Henry, Jaslyn Henry, Jordyn Henry, and Aalaysia Henry.
Visitation will take place at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton, on Tuesday September 16th at 12:00 p.m. till 1 pm. Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. at Bay Gardens Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Mount Hamilton Cemetery, 260 Rymal Road East, Hamilton.
