Surrounded by his family, Cal passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the age of 33. Loving husband of Nicole Anna Larcher. Dear son of Randy and Jennifer Smith and son-in-law of Jackie Larcher and Paul Dornadic. Cherished brother of Connor Smith (Kellie), Nicole Smith (Cam), and brother-in-law of Emma Larcher, Amanda Kelly (Matt), and Sarah Smith-Dornadic (Josh). Beloved uncle to Blair and Koen Caleb.

Dear grandson of Pat and Allan Smith and the late Marion and Gerald Foster. Cal will be deeply missed by his dog, Bo, as well as his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his devoted "Cal's Army."

Cal was a true warrior-his strength and spirit left a lasting impact on everyone he met. There wasn’t a day that went by where he didn’t make someone smile. He will always be remembered for his courage, passion, and kindness.

A heartfelt thank you to Cal’s work family at Stryker Canada for their unconditional support and the countless opportunities they provided to Cal and his family throughout his 8.5 year career. Special thanks to the staff at Princess Margaret and Mount Sinai Hospital for their dedicated care and efforts.

Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton (905-574-0405) on Saturday, February 8th, from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A private cremation will follow.

A Celebration of Cal’s Life will be held at a later date.
