It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Filomena Cipriani on August 26th at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Silvano Cipriani for 54 years. Loving mother of Sandro and Gina Cipriani, Carla and Carl Maragno, and Peter and Gail Cipriani. Cherished Nonna of Nicholas (Karen), Daniel, Marc, Brandon, Adam and Kris. Loving Nonnina to Mia and Eve. Sister of Terenzio (predeceased) and Giovanna Mostacci, and Antoinette and Renato Fidanza. She is now reunited with her parents, Pasquale and Frida Mostacci. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.

Filomena grew up in Collarmele, Abruzzo, Italy and is proud to have raised her family in Canada. She was a devoted mother who showed her love to her family frequently with beautiful meals made from fresh vegetables and herbs from her garden. Her family meant everything to her and her joy was seeing everyone together.

A visitation will be held on Monday September 1st at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, located at 947 Rymal Road, East, in Hamilton, from 3-7p.m. A Funeral Service will commence at 10 a.m., in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Tuesday September 2nd followed by a reception.

Our heartfelt thanks and gratitude go to Dr. Jordan Lafranier, the Palliative Care Team at St. Peter’s Hospital and Amber from SEN for their compassionate care. If so desired, donations in memory of Filomena may be made to the St. Peter’s Hospital Palliative Care unit in Hamilton.
