At the Juravinksi Hospital, Hamilton on Sunday, April 12, 2026, Lou Mastandrea at the age of 63 years. Beloved husband of Muriel for 38 years. Loving father of the late Michael (2024) and Lucas (Lyndsey). Dear son of Felicia and the late Francesco and cherished brother of Grace (John Pettorossi). Lou is survived by his sister-in-law Barb (late John Buhaenko). Lou will be sadly missed by his nephews, Joseph, Tomas, Nick and niece Kristin, his Zio and Zia, Paul & Josie Dagostino and by his cousins, family and friends here in Canada & Italy. A special thank you to Juravinksi Hospital ICU Level 0 doctors, nurses and staff for their care and compassion.

Lou recently retired from his role as Director of Engineering with Genesee & Wyoming, following a dedicated 42-year career in the railway industry.
He had a deep love for sports cars and lived life with strength, confidence, and a way about him that was entirely his own. Lou was a loyal and true friend, someone you could always count on.
Above all, he loved his family deeply. He will be remembered for that love, and for always doing things his way.
