It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden death of our dear mother Maria, at her home, at the age of 85. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Guerino. Devoted mother to Tony, Marina (Roy), Sam (Nancy), and Remo (Michelle). Beloved Nonna to her grandchildren: Brett, Breanne, Garrett (Chelsea), Michael (Emily), Christopher (Kristen), Kassandra (Brad), Victor, Sophia, Alexis (Michael), and Adriano. Her adored greatgrandsons, Brody and Bryer. Predeceased by her parents Antonio and Carina DiStefano.

Maria is survived by her brother Gino (Lina), late Gabriel (Elena), sister Josephine (late Gabriel), sisters-in-law Iolanda (late Vincenzo), Liliana (late Nardino), Maria (late Carlo), brother-in-law Tony (late Florence).

She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and extended family in Italy, France, and Brazil.

Our mother immigrated to Canada in 1961 and soon married Guerino. Family was everything to our mother. She was always ready to put a great meal on the table at a moments notice. Our hearts are shattered as you left us too soon. Rest in peace sweet Mama.

Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Rd. E. on Wednesday, August 20th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Bay Gardens Funeral Home Chapel, Hamilton, on Thursday, August 21st at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
