In Celebration of

Mildred Dundas

September 24, 1934 - November 15, 2025

Dundas, Mildred (nee Hicks)

With the heaviest of hearts our family announces the peaceful passing away of Mildred with her family by her side at the Hamilton General Hospital on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the age of 91. Mildred’s dedication and unwavering love for her family will be forever cherished by her beloved husband of over 70 years, James Dundas, by her loving children Allan Dundas (Joyce Van Dop), Nancy Dundas (Rod Blair), and Sharon (Darryl) Rooth, and by her adored grandchildren Benjamin Dundas (Katarina Balmazan), Sarah Rooth (Mitch Mumby), and Julia Rooth, as well as by her lifelong and very dear friend Ruth Rogers, her extended family, and friends. Mildred is reunited with her late parents Addison and Ann Hicks and her late siblings Mary Goettl, Russell Hicks, Bill Hicks, John Hicks, and Jim Hicks.

Our family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mildred and James’ long-time neighbour and friend, Randall Simmons, for his care and helping hand through the years. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

As per Mildred’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery (London, Ontario) at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mildred’s memory can be made to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice, if you wish.
