It is with deep sadness and broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Steven Richards on Monday, August 11th, 2025 at the age of 54.
Steve lived a life defined by kindness, loyalty, and quiet strength.
Steve’s greatest joy was being a father to his cherished daughters, Brianna and Alaina. They were his pride, his purpose, and his deepest source of happiness. His love for them was evident in everything he did.
An outdoorsman at heart, Steve found peace on the water with a fishing rod in hand and joy on the golf course with friends by his side. Making wonderful memories and sharing many laughs at the trailer and just spending cherished time with his family.
Humble and grounded, Steve was the kind of man you could always count on—a steady presence you could lean on in times of need. He built a life surrounded by his family and friends. His reliability, generosity, and genuine demur left an imprint on everyone he touched. He will always be remembered for his wicked sense of humour, and his quick wit.
For over 25 years, Steve worked at Turkstra Lumber, a place that became far more than just a job—it became a second family. Dedicated and hardworking, he took immense pride in his work and genuinely loved going in each day. The friendships he built there ran deep, built on trust, laughter, and shared dedication. His colleagues knew they could always count on him, not only for his reliability and skill, but for the humor, generosity, and genuine warmth that he brought.
Steve is survived by his beloved daughters, Brianna and Alaina; he was a loving son to Linda Richards; and a devoted brother and best friend to Debbie Mitchell and brother in law Chris (Mitch) Predeceased by his son, Brayden Richards and father Bill Richards . He will be sadly missed by his many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
