It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Trevor Youden MacAulay, who passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully at home in Hamilton, Ontario, at the age of 59.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Paula MacAulay, and his daughters, Alexandra, Julia, and Sarah. Trevor is lovingly remembered by his stepmother, Ruth MacAulay, and his siblings, Kyle (Angela) Graham and Stacy (Steve) Wilson. Trevor also cherished his nieces and nephews. He is fondly remembered by his in-laws, William and Sharon Bell, and his brother-in-law, Scott Bell. He was predeceased by his loving parents, David MacAulay and Elizabeth (née Moneypenny) Brennan, and his sister, Tracy Milligan.
Trevor lived a full and joyful life, defined by his love for people and his gift for making everyone feel welcome. He was a true jokester, always ready with a quick wit and a story that could fill a room with laughter. A people-person through and through, Trevor had a way of connecting with everyone he met, leaving behind kindness, humour, and care.
Hockey was one of his greatest passions. He spent countless hours at the rink, supporting and proudly watching his daughters play the sport he loved so much. Adored by the hockey community, Trevor was dedicated to the many players he coached over the years, inspiring confidence in them and sharing in their love for the game. The girls he coached had just as much of an impact on him as he did on them, and the relationships he built through the sport meant the world to him.
Beyond the rink, Trevor’s love of sports extended to just about everything-football, baseball, golf, and anything else that happened to be on. He also loved being outdoors, whether on fishing trips with his dad and cousins, camping with family, or heading out on road trips to explore new places. Those moments brought him joy, laughter, and lasting memories with the people he loved most.
A valued and dedicated employee of Candu Energy, Trevor was respected by all who worked alongside him, while also having a deep appreciation for his coworkers.
